Delete your account
How to delete your Role Den account, what goes, and what stays.
Role Den is a job board. You can delete your Role Den account yourself, on the website or in the Role Den app. This page tells you the steps. It has no form: you delete inside your account, where you confirm it. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone.
Job seekers
On the website or in the app, do these in order:
- Sign in to Role Den.
- Open Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Type your password. If you sign in with Google, type your email address instead.
- Choose Delete for good.
Companies
Only the owner of a company account can delete it. A team member cannot. Do these in order:
- Sign in as the owner.
- On the website, open the Company page. In the app, open the account menu.
- Choose Delete account.
- Type your password.
- Choose Delete for good.
A paid plan has to end first. If your plan is billed through Stripe, cancel it in Billing and wait until it has ended. A plan that is set to end at the end of its period still stops you until that period is over. Only a plan billed through Stripe stops you, so a plan that staff gave you does not.
A team member who wants their own sign-in deleted can ask the company's owner to open the Team page and choose Remove access next to their name, which deletes their sign-in, or ask through the contact page. Their name stays on the applicant moves they made.
What goes
- Deleting a job seeker account removes your profile, CV, saved jobs, the applications you sent and the approaches you got, along with the reports you sent and the companies you blocked.
- Deleting a company account removes the company and its public page, its listings and the applications to them, its team members' access, its verification documents and review history, and its billing records on Role Den. Blocks against the company go too.
What stays
- Reports that job seekers sent about a company stay with Role Den staff, no longer tied to the company's account. A report stays until the job seeker who sent it deletes their account.
- Stripe keeps its own records of payments, under Stripe's own terms.
- A copy of a verification document that staff kept off the site after review is not deleted by this. To have it deleted, ask through the contact page. Until someone asks, it stays.
- An application sent without an account is not tied to one. To remove it, ask through the contact page. Until then it stays, unless the company that got it deletes its account.
- If board staff delete an account, the staff removal log keeps a row of numbers and counts, with no name, email address or text. That row is kept for good: nothing deletes it. Deleting your own account writes no row there.
The privacy notice lists everything Role Den stores, and what is removed, under Keeping and deleting.
If you cannot sign in
First try Forgot password. If that does not work, ask through the contact page. Say which email address the account uses and that you want it deleted. Staff can delete a job seeker's account or a company's account.
Open clause: how Role Den checks that a request comes from the account's owner, and how long it takes, are not set yet. The owner must write them before launch.
Open clause: the board's public email address is not set yet. The contact page shows it once the owner sets it.
